Graphics and Illustration

A showcase of commissioned, employment-based and university course-based graphic and illustration works. Adobe Illustrator was the primary software used to produce the following designs.

Poster for the Humanities Research Centre

Invited commission for The Australian National University, 2023

Brief:

To create a visual representation of the 2023 research theme, ‘Repair’, which academics could broadly interpret in terms of community, ecological and environmental, political or social repair, as well touching on the modern desire for consumerism and disposability.

Output:

The chosen imagery insinuates transformational repair and a new perspective on the functionality of broken things. Porcelain shards were illustrated with native Australian fauna amongst traditional patterns to localise the poster to an Australian context.

Methods:

Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop. Continual liaising with the client ensured expectations were met.

Native Plant Illustrations

Employment with Wildbark, 2022

These illustrations were produced for signage placed around the grounds of Wildbark, displaying information about indigenous plant use in the local area.

Design Commissions

UniLodge at ANU

Three separate design commissions to produce marketing material for Orientation Week at UniLodge, in January 2021, July 2021, and January 2022. Outputs included printed posters, Facebook event banners, calendars, and merchandise.

Tarot Card Design

University Project, 2021.

Tarot card-inspired graphics were produced as a part of a Speculative Design Fiction course, later used as prompts in a world-building and design intervention task.
